Angel serves as Implementation Lead for the Rising T1DE Alliance at Lurie Children’s Hospital. In this role, Angel advances grant initiatives from design to dissemination, providing leadership in implementation science and quality improvement. He oversees the Implementation and Evaluation Plan, supports stakeholder engagement, and drives data-informed strategies for successful project execution.
Angel brings extensive experience in clinical research operations, project management, and health equity initiatives within the non-profit sector. Committed to advancing public health and equity, Angel has contributed to numerous research projects focused on sexual health, LGBTQ+ health disparities, and reproductive health. His academic background includes a Master of Public Health in Behavioral, Social, and Community Health from Indiana University, a Master of Science in Consumer Behavior with a concentration in Health Disparities from Purdue University, and a Bachelor of Science in Public Health Promotion. He is bilingual in English and Spanish and has presented at national conferences, earning multiple awards for research excellence.
Outside of work, Angel enjoys walking his Pomeranian, Saint, along the Chicago waterfront, hosting friends for game nights, and exploring local coffee shops to inspire new baking creations at home.
